Apple needs to release a home server. Hanging a USB hard drive off an Airport Extreme doesn’t count. With Apple’s continued push into the media market, now would be a good time to make it easy for users to consolidate their media files as well as stream video and music to multiple devices.
According to Yahoo! Tech, the Apple TV deserves a place on the list of the worst tech products for 2007. I’ve heard people who’ve purchased it and they’ve generally been very happy with their Apple TVs. The problem lies in the fact that few consumers have actually adopted this product.
I love my Macbook. The performance is snappy, it doesn’t get hot, the keyboard is excellent, and it’s all encased in a nice form factor. As far as portable Mac solutions go, I have no problems using this over the bulkier and hotter Macbook Pro.
It’s amazing the difference 10 years can make. The 1997 Macworld keynote carries with it a much more somber mood when compared to those of recent memory.
