Can’t Login to MobileMe? Try this…

Even though I knew 100% that I had the correct password, I kept getting an invalid login error on the MobileMe website. After some searching around, I found the solution.

  1. Go to http://myinfo.apple.com/ and login with your MobileMe account info. Not you’re preexisting AppleID info!

    2. Example: “username@me.com” and your chosen password

  2. This should give you your MobileMe account (which is also an AppleID account?!)
  3. Click AppleID on the left and enter your new password twice (Don’t use the same password as you did before! It won’t fix it!)
  4. Click Save Changes
  5. Go to http://www.me.com/ and login with your username and your new password
  6. You’re in! (hopefully!)
  7. Go to your System Preferences on your Mac and log out, and log in again with your new MobileMe password.

    I was starting to think I was going mental!

    Oh well. At least you can change the password back to what it was originally once you’re in.

    without your site, i still don’t think i’d be logged into mobileme…what a mess. apple should be ashamed.
