WWDC 2008 Predictions

It’s almost a lock that we’ll see an update to the iPhone this coming Monday. Rumored updated specs include 3g and GPS. Other possible WWDC items include the announcement of OS X 10.6.
A successor to the Newton, perhaps some sort of iTablet is a distant possibility. I’m more interested in a updated Macbook Pro. We’re not talking about a minor performance update. The Macbook has carried this design since the days of the aluminum G4 PowerBook. So from a design perspective it’s time for a change. I’m looking for a complete facelift. For starters, give it a more dent resistant casing and make it easy for the user to upgrade the hard drive. A sizable upgrade to the GPU would also be welcomed.
Aside from that, I’m very interested in the new iPhone firmware 2.0. Finally having access to third-party applications on the iPhone will open up interesting niches that have so far been lacking on this potentially great device.
Have any items you’re looking forward to at WWDC ‘08? Let me know.
