Apple Otaku A Flavorful Blend of Apple and Japanese Culture

Version 2.0.4 of TextExpander was released this week. It reportedly fixes a couple of bugs. Unfortunately, this update may have introduced a new bug.

When I upgraded my copy, I noticed my registration info got blanked out. Re-inputing my info doesn’t fix this issue. The registration name and serial number gets wiped out as soon as I close the System Preferences. After emailing the company, I got back this response:

I’m sorry for the trouble. I think we may need an update to work that out. In the meantime, TextExpander is not likely to bug you too much — just once each time you save an hour. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Unless you really need those bug fixes, I would wait for a future update.
