Apple Otaku A Flavorful Blend of Apple and Japanese Culture

Peggle isn’t exactly pachinko but it does share the same addictive qualities of this popular Japanese pastime. I recently got a taste of this game when I purchased my copy of The Orange Box from Steam.

The goal of Peggle is to shoot a steel ball from above and knock out all of the red-colored bricks. Like pachinko, there’s a certain degree of luck involved. I don’t know exactly what the creators of Peggle did to make this rather simple game so addictive but I’m embarrassed at the amount of time I’ve spent with this title when I have other, more sophisticated games in my library like Call of Duty 4.

Peggle is available for the Mac and PC and you can download a free trial here. A highly recommended diversion for video game fans of all types.
