Increase Your WPM with TextExpander

Hate to type? Read on. With TextExpander, you can assign a short abbreviation to a collection of text. As an example, whenever I type “psig” (stands for personal sig), TextExpander will automatically insert my custom email signature (see the pic above). For those regularly type in the same set of characters, TextExpander will increase your productivity and possibly reduce some finger stress.

I’ve used this application for several months and it has earned its place on my hard drive. Simple, unobtrusive, and does what it promises. This is from someone who hates installing apps that run in the background.

It’s an easy application to set-up and I’ve had no issues with it under Tiger or Leopard. You can download the application here. It’s free to try for 30 days. Afterwards if you want to continue using it, you can pay the $29.95 registration fee.
