Book Pick: iWoz

iWoz Cover

iWoz tells the story of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak from childhood to present day. We learn about his early aptitude for science, his work with HP, the founding of Apple Computer with Steve Jobs, and his eventual departure.

I think even individuals familiar with the Steve Wozniak story will find this book of interest since it delves deeply into topics that probably weren’t covered in great detail. For me, the story of the Apple Disk II intrigued me the most. I was amazed at how he was able to simplify a device and at the same time improve upon its performance.

Mr. Wozniak can be boastful at times but it’s an entertaining read all the same. I can easily recommend this book for those interested in getting an inside read on one of the most influential members of the personal computer revolution.

As a side note, I didn’t actually read the printed book. I instead listened to the unabridged audiobook from Audible. Unfortunately, Mr. Wozniak didn’t do the narration. However, the narrator they hired did a decent job. A little overly cheery, but not annoying.
