Apple Otaku A Flavorful Blend of Apple and Japanese Culture

September 8th was Matsumoto Hitoshi’s 44th birthday. In an episode of Rinkan that aired in early October, the staff and crew put on a special episode dedicated to this important occasion. So on this episode, they put Matsumoto in a secluded room and special guest after special guest paid him a visit (44 in total).

Some of the guests included okamas, Japanese rappers, an Idol group, and of course Hamada Masatoshi.

In the screenshot above, you can see Matsumoto’s favorite childhood hero Utra 7 making an appearance. I think this is one of the few times where Rinkan actually used CGI effects. This is surprising given the loftly budget TBS has alloted to this show.

This was a thoroughly entertaining episode. Not quite as good as the one with Harisenbon but easily in my top 10.
