Virtual GPS Now Available for the iPhone

GPS is a feature a lot of people really wanted in the iPhone. I’ve heard that some less informed individuals actually thought the iPhone had built-in GPS after watching the iPhone commercial showcasing Google Maps.
We now have a “virtual” solution for the iPhone. Its name is Navizon Virtual GPS. By using a combination of Wi-Fi access points and wireless towers, the software can triangulate your location.
I have limited experience with GPS but I question how this virtual technology can rival a genuine hardware GPS solution. Virtual GPS is shareware so it wouldn’t hurt to try it out and see how well it works.
The app is installed by downloading a zip file and running one of the many third party installation tools. The app is fully functional for 15 days. You can purchase the app for $24.99.
