Beginnings

Apple IIGS

Hello, this is the first of many posts for Apple Otaku.

My introduction to Apple technology began with Apple II+ and the Apple IIGS. After a few years, I wandered into the PC world for the next 10 years and finally came back to Apple with a 867 MHz Titanium Powerbook G4. I eventually moved on to a PowerMac G5, a Macbook Pro, and finally a Core 2 Duo Macbook.

While I do prefer OS X over other computer environments but I’m not a Mac bigot. I can see advantages to using other platforms and understand the Mac isn’t for everybody. I’ll do my best to offer a balanced view of the Apple landscape.

In future posts, I’ll be covering news, reviews, and offering the occasional tip. If you have any suggestions or questions, you can reach me at: jason [at] appleotaku [dot] com.
